Bacchus Dark Stem Meerschaum Pipe - What an excellent carving of a happy Bacchus on a small pipe! The toothy smile, flowing beard, and dancing eyes are captured in this hand-carved meerschaum pipe, revealing a lot of personality in his face. A wreath of grape leaves and grapes falls down his side. The meerschaum, an older pipe in our collection, has a linen tint that contrasts nicely with the dark translucent bent stem.

This meerschaum pipe is hand-carved from genuine 100% solid block meerschaum and imported directly from central Turkey. After the pipe is carved, it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating and to also draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will change color over time as it is smoked. The stem is made of a special Amberoid acrylic for a nice finished look and long-lasting durability.
