Claw Smooth Churchwarden Meerschaum Pipe - In a traditional style, this eagle claw pipe holds a smooth bowl. The scales of the claw are carved in full detail and contrast the smooth, sharp talons. Although the bowl is a smaller size, it is convenient to pack in a modest amount of tobacco for a quick smoke. The pipe is polished to a glossy finish and has a long, sweeping, bent churchwarden stem colored in rich, marbled tones of amber.

In addition to its pleasing look, the long stem of a churchwarden pipe serves to keep smoke and heat further away from the pipe smoker's face. Along with the natural filtering quality of meerschaum, which is known to deliver a cool, dry smoking experience, a churchwarden stem allows smoke to cool even more as it travels the extra distance from the bowl to the end of the mouthpiece.

This meerschaum pipe is hand-carved from genuine 100% solid block meerschaum, and it is imported directly from central Turkey. After carving the pipe, it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating, which also helps to draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will change color over time as you smoke it. The stem is made out of a special Amberoid acrylic, which provides a great finished look and long-lasting durability.
