Special Freehand 3D Lattice Meerschaum Pipe - A large 3D round lattice framed with a tiny circular lattice design is carved on the front and sides of this freehand pipe bowl. To obtain this three-dimensional look, the Turkish carver must use careful attention, time, and talent when carving beneath each lattice. The depth of this carving is breathtaking, casting shadows. The thick, deep bowl of the pipe has plenty of room for tobacco. The freehand design has a smooth back where you can rest your thumb, making it comfortable to hold. The pipe is an older one in our collection, and it is starting to color naturally in a peach hue on the inside of the lattice bowl. The shank is smooth and attaches to a dark bent saddle stem.

This meerschaum pipe is hand-carved from genuine 100% solid block meerschaum, and it is imported directly from central Turkey. After carving the pipe, it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating. The pipe will change color over time to shades of golden brown as it is smoked, drawing out nicotine and tar particles with its natural filtering. The stem is made from a special Amberoid acrylic, which provides a great finished look and long-lasting durability.

This hand-carved meerschaum pipe comes in a handmade brass-hinged case covered in burgundy leather and lined on the inside in velvet.
