Large Mahogany Round Lattice 100% Block Meerschaum Bowl Calabash Pipe - Sherlock Holmes style pipe is made of solid grain mahogany wood. The meerschaum pipe bowl insert is made of 100% solid block meerschaum and it is carved in round lattice. The pipe features a special Army Mount (also called a military bit) acrylic tapered stem with a turned design. This stem detaches for easy cleaning and storage. Very cool looking pipe with an exceptionally cool smoke because the smoke rests in the chamber in between inhaling. We believe this is why Sherlock liked this style pipe so much!
This meerschaum pipe is hand carved from 100% solid block meerschaum imported directly from central Turkey. Once carved it is soaked in beeswax so that it will color over time after being smoked. The stem is made of a special amberoid acrylic for good looks and long lasting durability.
Every meerschaum pipe we sell is hand carved so no two pipes are exactly the same. Each hand carved pipe comes in a custom made burgundy leather and velvet lined brass hinged case which is custom fitted and unique to that individual pipe.
