Round Lattice Bowl in Claw Knurl Meerschaum Pipe - This eagle claw meerschaum pipe holds a short pipe bowl and is carved in a fully detailed round lattice. Even the claw's talons have a lattice-carved motif. The small bowl will hold enough tobacco for a quick smoke. The knurl has a carved teardrop design framed with light circular lattice. The bent stem is colored in a gentle swirl of amber shades. The pipe is rather long, making it an ideal choice for the tobacco smoker who prefers extra length.

A knurl is a piece of solid block meerschaum that is designed in either a carved or smooth finish. It fits on the shank of the meerschaum pipe and serves as an attractive extension. A knurl makes the shank longer, thereby increasing the overall length of the pipe. With this extension, the smoke has further to travel, which gives more time to cool down before reaching the end of the mouthpiece. Knurls on our meerschaum pipes have a Teflon threaded connector, making it easy to remove when cleaning the pipe.

This meerschaum pipe is hand-carved from genuine 100% solid block meerschaum, and it is imported directly from central Turkey. After carving the pipe, it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating, which also helps to draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will change color over time as you smoke it.
