Special Long Beard Man with Silver Band Meerschaum Pipe - Unique carving of an exceptionally long bearded man smoking a churchwarden meerschaum pipe. The old man wears a nightcap with a fringed tassel. The extra long beard serves as a platform allowing the pipe to sit flat and not topple over. This means you can fill the bowl, take a few puffs, set the pipe down and the tobacco will not spill out. The underside and shank is carved in round lattice with a silver band attached to the end where it joins a scrolled designer bent stem. Certain to be a conversational piece in addition to being an excellent tobacco smoking pipe.

This meerschaum pipe is hand carved from genuine 100% Solid Block Meerschaum and imported directly from central Turkey. After the pipe is carved it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating and to also draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will color over time as it is smoked. The stem is made of a special Amberoid Acrylic for a nice finished look and long lasting durability.

Every meerschaum pipe we sell is hand carved so no two pipes are exactly the same. Each hand carved pipe comes in a custom black leather and velvet lined brass hinged case. The hand made case is a custom fit and unique to the individual pipe.
