Nording Black Grain Sitter #3 Briar Pipe - For those tobacco pipe smokers who enjoy resting their pipes frequently, this gorgeous Erik Nording #3 black grain sitter pipe is ideal. Because of its wide bottom, the pipe can remain upright on a level surface without toppling over. The finest plateau briar, the outermost portion of the block with the most exquisite texture and delicacy of the wood grain, is used to make the pipe. One side of the rim has a hint of rustication, while the pipe bowl and shank are carved in a smooth finish. The pipe's high-gloss polish highlights the black grain in contrast to the brown briar.
The pipe is stamped "Handmade by Erik Nording" in a circle on the underside of the shank. The tapered, scrolled black stem offers a graceful bend and has a white scripted initial "N" embedded in the vulcanite stem. This one-of-a-kind pipe comes in a dark velvet drawstring pouch with the Nording signature logo and Denmark printed in gold.
Since the early 1960s, Erik Nording has been known worldwide for his unique, one-of-a-kind, hand-carved freehand pipes that feel good in the hand, light in the mouth, and are guaranteed to smoke great from the very first puff. Located just outside Copenhagen in Denmark, no two Nording pipes are identical, making them very personal and highly collectible.
