Nording uses the finest plateau briar, the outermost portion of the block with the most exquisite texture and delicacy of the wood grain, to make his stunning pipes. The bowl features a dramatic contrast of smooth and rugged finishes—its flame-like rustication appears to rise organically from the dark, textured base into the rich, warm grain of the upper bowl.

The pipe is stamped "Handmade by Erik Nording" with the number "3" on the underside of the shank. The tapered, scrolled black stem offers a graceful bend and has a white scripted initial "N" embedded in the vulcanite stem. This one-of-a-kind pipe comes in a dark velvet drawstring pouch with the Nording signature logo and Denmark printed in gold.
