Special President Ulysses S. Grant Silver Band Meerschaum Pipe - Exceptional portrait carving of President Ulysses S. Grant. From his full head of hair to the stars on his jacket collar, no detail is spared in this rare carving. The underside of the pipe has an elaborate designer lattice carving. The shank is joined to the scrolled designer bent stem with a silver band. A first-rate carving of a famous US General and President who was an avid pipe smoker. This pipe represents a fine piece of American history.

This meerschaum pipe is hand carved from genuine 100% Solid Block Meerschaum and imported directly from central Turkey. After the pipe is carved it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating and to also draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will color over time as it is smoked. The stem is made of a special Amberoid Acrylic for a nice finished look and long lasting durability.

Every meerschaum pipe we sell is hand carved so no two pipes are exactly the same. Each hand carved pipe comes in a custom black leather and velvet lined brass hinged case. The hand made case is a custom fit and unique to the individual pipe.
