Topkapi Calabash Teardrop Lattice Meerschaum Pipe - The Topkapi Palace architecture in Istanbul, Turkey, is the inspiration for this designed pipe. There is detailed elaborate carving around the top of the bowl and all around the calabash-style rim. Teardrop lattice is carved around the bottom half of the bowl and lattice is carved on the shank. The pipe bowl is deep and narrow and it is lightweight. It is finished with a translucent bent stem with rich amber shades.

This meerschaum pipe is hand carved from genuine 100% solid block meerschaum and imported directly from central Turkey. After the pipe is carved it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating and to also draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will color over time as it is smoked. The stem is made of a special Amberoid Acrylic for a nice finished look and long-lasting durability.

Every block meerschaum pipe we sell is carved by hand, so no two pipes are exactly the same. This hand-carved pipe comes in a custom-made black leather and velvet-lined brass hinged case. It is a special fit and unique to this Topkapi meerschaum pipe.
