Special 2008 Limited Edition Cottom's Choice Meerschaum Pipe - A documented piece from the later years of the Cottom’s Choice series, this 2008 Limited Edition No. 24 of 50 Meerschaum Pipe combines understated styling with genuine collector significance. Its limited-production identity is carved directly into the shank, with “Limited 24/50” marking the individual pipe and “Cottom’s Choice 2008” identifying the year of issue.

The design centers on a tall, classically proportioned Dublin bowl with a beautifully smooth polished surface. Rather than elaborate carving, the clean finish allows the natural character of the meerschaum and graceful shape of the pipe to take center stage. A long smooth shank flows into a straight tapered black acrylic stem, giving the pipe an elegant, streamlined profile.

Cottom’s Choice pipes originated with respected tobacconist and pipe expert Tom Cottom, who selected a special meerschaum design for release each year. Production was intentionally limited to just 50 examples annually, with each pipe individually crafted in Turkey from premium solid block meerschaum. With the series no longer produced and Tom Cottom having passed away in 2016, surviving numbered examples have become increasingly uncommon pieces of meerschaum collecting history.

Genuine 100% solid block Turkish meerschaum provides the naturally cool, dry, neutral smoking characteristics prized by enthusiasts. A traditional natural beeswax finish protects the polished surface and assists in the gradual coloring process. As the pipe is enjoyed, its pale surface can slowly take on honey, golden, and amber hues, developing a patina unique to its use.

The original custom-fitted burgundy leather case is included, with a soft velvet-lined interior shaped specifically for the pipe.
