Special Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson Meerschaum Pipe Set - A set of handsome portrait carvings features the famous detective Sherlock Holmes and his devoted friend, Doctor Watson. Sherlock Holmes is carved smoking his traditional meerschaum calabash pipe, he wears a Deerstalker hat, and has his collar turned up. Doctor Watson is carved featuring his dapper look with a perfectly groomed moustache and a brimmed hat that is decorated with lattice carving. Both pipes have translucent bent stems that are colored in marbled shades of amber. Excellent collectible for Holmes and Watson fans.

These meerschaum pipes are hand carved from genuine 100% solid block meerschaum and imported directly from central Turkey. After the pipes are carved, they are dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating and to also draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipes will color over time as they are smoked. The stems are made of a special Amberoid Acrylic for a nice finished look and long-lasting durability.

Since every block meerschaum pipe we sell is carved by hand, no two pipes are exactly the same. This hand carved 2 pipe set comes in a custom-made burgundy leather and velvet-lined brass hinged case. It is a special fit that is unique to these two Holmes and Watson portrait meerschaum pipes.
