Special Hound Dog Meerschaum Pipe - This hound dog, an older pipe in our collection, has the most adorable face! His lengthy snout ends at a slightly open mouth that displays his tongue, and his eyes gaze lovingly forward. The long ears dangle down on either side of the deep pipe bowl and are gracefully carved. There is a small piece of carving at the pipe's base that shows a collar. Smooth and flat, the underside balances with the stem so the dog can sit (pun intended) without falling over. The salmon-colored, marbled bent stem joins to the smooth shank. For the pipe smoker who loves dogs, this is the perfect choice.

This meerschaum pipe is hand-carved from genuine 100% solid block meerschaum, and it is imported directly from central Turkey. After carving the pipe, it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating. The pipe will change color over time to shades of golden brown as it is smoked, drawing out nicotine and tar particles with its natural filtering. The stem is made from a special Amberoid acrylic, which provides a great finished look and long-lasting durability.
