One side of the bowl and rim are rusticated, while the other side, bottom, and shank have a smooth finish to show a strong grain pattern. The 9-mm pipe is lined with authentic Turkish meerschaum. This delivers a cool, dry smoke, with the meerschaum acting as a natural filter. Although not necessary, a regular 9-mm filter can be used if desired. The pipe has a light polished finish. A subtle black band with a silver-colored ring in the center joins the shank to the stem. The poker-style flat bottom allows the pipe to sit without falling over. The solid black saddle stem is gracefully bent and has a rubber bite guard at the end.
