Hand Carved Perched LionMeerschaum Pipe - The smooth bowl of this pipe has a full body lion with a flowing mane perching on a tree branch carved on the back and side of the bowl. There is a touch of delicate leaf carvings on the shank where it attaches to the amber colored bent stem. The pipe was dipped in a special wax formula giving it a creamy colored finish that complements the stem color quite handsomely.
This meerschaum pipe is hand carved from genuine 100% Solid Block Meerschaum imported directly from central Turkey. After the pipe is carved it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating and to also draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will continue to color over time as it is smoked. The stem is made of a special Amberoid Acrylic for a nice finished look and long lasting durability.
Every meerschaum pipe we sell is hand carved so no two pipes are exactly the same. Each hand carved pipe comes in a custom made black leather and velvet lined brass hinged case which is custom fitted and unique to that individual pipe.
